About the event
Join us for a special screening of the award-winning documentary The Cigarette Surfboard!
What happens when you take 10,000 littered cigarette butts collected from coastal beaches and turn them into a fully functional surfboard? You get a powerful movement. Surfer Taylor Lane and filmmaker Ben Judkins teamed up to transform ocean pollution into a vessel for change. Featuring surf icons like Jack Johnson, Cliff Kapono, and Easkey Britton, The Cigarette Surfboard uses the art of surfing to spark an essential conversation about toxic plastic waste, ocean conservation, and corporate accountability.

It’s inspiring, visually stunning, and a stark reminder that creative action can protect the waters we love.
